Why Anchor Appliance?

Let me explain in 5 easy steps

My wife Erica passed away on New Year’s Eve.  Erica just turned 39 years old, but we had a tragic car accident, and she did not survive.  I do really miss her.  She was quite a wonderful lady that loved God, and served Him well.  Erica was a great wife, and loved me so much.  She is in heaven now, but the good things that she did, did not get her to heaven.  Why is she in heaven? Please let me explain.

  1.  Romans 3:10 - As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: …

  2.  Romans 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; …

The quotes above are from the Bible, and God tells us that there are no “good” people.  We cannot do enough good things to meet God’s standard of good because we have sinned, or done wrong things in His sight.

   3.  Romans 6:23a - For the wages of sin is death; …

God says that sin must be paid for by death.  This death is an eternity in hell should we choose to pay our sins ourselves, because any good we think we do is not good enough for God.  Sin has caused us to fall short.

   4.  Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23b - …but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The good news is that God loved us, and Jesus Christ His Son, also God, loved us so much that he came and died for our sins.  Christ is perfect and could take our place in death.  While the first option is for us to pay for our wages of sin by eternity in hell, the second option is to accept Christ payment for our sin.  When we do this, we can go to heaven when we die, rather than hell.

   5.  Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How do we get Christ to pay for our sins? Notice that in Romans 6:23b, that Christ payment is called a gift. When someone offers you a gift, you must accept it.  To accept God’s gift of salvation, pray, or talk to Him.  Believe that Jesus Christ died to pay for your sins, then, say to God and mean a prayer similar to the one below:

God, I know that I am a sinner.  I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, and rose from the dead.  Please come into my heart and pay for my sins.

If you will ask God, He will save you from your sins.  When we accept Christ as our Saviour, He is an anchor to our soul keeping us from be sunk like a ship and falling into hell when we die.  Jesus Christ as our anchor is what keeps our soul so that we can go to heaven when we die.

My wife Erica asked Jesus Christ to save her from her sins 22 years before she died, and because of that, she is now in heaven.  Do you have your soul anchored? Have you asked Jesus Christ to save you from your sins? Are you going to heaven when you die?  Jesus Christ is the anchor of the soul that keeps us from sinking in the sea of sin.
